You're not going to believe this...
Yep - its official - New Yorkers are friendly! I hate to admit it and I know my London friends will be saying its completely not genuine and its all down to the "have a nice day", pretend friendly culture, which is probably true but its nice (once in a while) to spend a train journey talking to interesting people and being nosey about their lives (as long as its not every journey and you're not tired and just want to be left alone - hell I am British, after all! ;-) Or maybe its just the wine and its actually annoying normally!. Am currently on the train to Washington DC for the weekend with the boy and shared the journey part way there (to Philadelphia) with 2 very nice girls (from "Philly") (who'd moved to NY and were on their way back home for the weekend). Love being nosey sometimes....
