Canada!

so...Canada is a weird place....just spent a few days in the capital city of Canada (Ottawa for those who are geographically challenged). Nice enough - in a kind of capital city kind of way.

However I got the train (from the capital city don't forget) and get this: at the station there is a subway and a business class lounge. That's it, no shops, no hot food, no fast food, no newsagents - nothing. ok...fine I thought.

Next I headed to the train. In a thunderstorm - the platform is OUTSIDE!!!!! All of us are soaked - not that London "its pissing it down" soaked but actual proper tropical storm soaked - the kind you only get in New York and Cuba (based on my (limited) first hand knowledge thus far)....ok fine...whatever....

I'm on the train and go to change in the loo to some dry clothes. The loo is teeny, with no shelves and no lid to cover the loo!!! Now don't get me wrong - some of the trains in London are terrible and smelly - but no lid? Its a glorified hole in the ground!

....But obviously they have wireless internet on the train....BARKING I tell you.
On way to Montreal now - where they all think they are in a different country with a different national language (schools etc are in French apparently....and English is the second language throughout Quebec....BARKING)
